SB 5905 eliminates state-funded health insurance for part-timers. Under Senate Bill 5905, educators working less than 30 hours a week would be forced into a new health care exchange that doesn’t even exist yet. That will result in higher costs and reduced benefits for some school employees, and if their spouses have health insurance, they may not qualify for coverage through the exchange.
What can you do? E-mail your legislators and let them know that you are against this bill.

Protect health care for our part-time employees. Email your legislators and tell them to oppose SB 5905. It takes a couple of minutes, but it’s well worth it.
