The push is on to elect Kathy Nordberg for school board. She is running for the district 2 position. It is important that the community is informed about the importance of their vote and to cast their ballots by NOVEMBER 5TH! Kathy is a long time Hockinson resident and believes in open communication and involving everyone in the decision-making process. She has thirty years of teaching experience in our Hockinson School District and believes in balancing perspectives.

It is exciting that Kathy has chosen to run for this position.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?

1.) Distribute Information (the following items can be obtained during your duty free lunch in the staff room in your building. You can also inquire about information from your building rep before or after the school day)

•Pick up cards to hand out
•Pick up fliers to hand out
•Take a tab sign to share Kathy’s website with someone
•Talk to a neighbor about Kathy running for school board
•Email or Text your home/personal contacts (do not use school email)
•POST A SIGN IN YOUR YARD (reply to this message if you would like us to leave a sign for you in the staff room)/WE JUST ORDERED MORE SIGNS!

2.) Phone Banking
•Tuesday October 8th from 6-9 at Riverside Uniserv office (we had 10 community and staff volunteers this evening)…THANK YOU!
•NEW DATE…WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16TH, 2 SHIFTS (5-7 OR 7-9)
•Wednesday, October 30th, 6-9 at Riverside Uniserv office

3.) Walk and Knock (join us for donuts and coffee before we head out)
•Saturday October 19th meet at the back side of Walgreens parking lot. 9am-noon
•Tentative date for October 26th same place 9am-noon

4.)Write a letter
•Draft a letter to the Columbian or Reflector about how you feel Kathy would be a good candidate for the Hockinson School Board.

5) Sign Waving (sign up and we’ll let you now where to get the signs and meet/remember you cannot be on school property)

•Friday October 23rd (on the side walk by HHS). There is a football game.
