Be the difference! Be the voice!

The leadership of WEA-Riverside is inviting you to attend OUR meeting!  It is time our legislators from the 17th, 18th, and 49th hear from us on our terms!

The legislature was ruled in contempt of court, as they have not abided by the Supreme Court’s McCleary decision.  McCleary established the legislature had violated the Washington Constitution by not upholding its paramount duty to fully fund public education.  It is time we make it known the need of professional compensation, benefits and working conditions, that are best for educators and our profession!

In order to make a difference, you must decide yes, I need to let my voice be heard!

We have invited all of your legislators from the 17th, 18th, and 49th Legislative Districts to come to a town hall meeting with you, their constituents.  You will have the opportunity to hear from them how they intend to fully fund public education in Washington.  This will be an open forum, giving you the opportunity to ask specific questions that you are interested in having answered.  Event specifics are:
