A Sparks Retreat at the Breakers in Long Beach. This is for teachers with seven years or less teaching experience. SPARKS is an experience for teachers newer to the profession, to provide support and build connections with other young professionals. The SPARKS experience will be March 15, 16, 17, 2018 at the Breakers Resort in Long Beach, WA. This will be a fabulous (and fun!) opportunity to gather with 24 of your peers throughout the broader metro Vancouver area. And, the best part, this experience is at no cost for you – – we will provide release time, lodging, scrumptious food, and shared mileage expenses! The agenda for the experience is built off of what you and fellow attendees indicate you are most interested in learning more about! We are attempting to secure six (6) free clock hours through your Washington Education Association!
Your SPARKS experience begins when you arrive at the beach for a scrumptious dinner on Thursday, March 15 and will conclude by noon on Saturday, March 17, 2018. (You leave school right after work on Thursday, March 15 and drive to the beach and a substitute is paid for your release on Friday, March 16)
