After more than 6 hours of negotiations today, we are happy to report that we have reached a tentative agreement with the district.
You, the members, will have a chance to view the changes to the contract and vote on ratifying next Tuesday, October 18th at 4pm at HHS (room to be determined). At the request of the state mediator, the negotiations team is unable to discuss the terms of the tentative agreement until the meeting. However, this tentative agreement comes with the approval of the negotiations team. Between now and the time of the meeting we still have to meet to finalize language, hence the length between now and the meeting.
In a show of solidarity, we need to keep up our presence at tomorrow’s 6pm school board meeting, and especially the October 24th board meeting where the board will actually be voting on approval (pending our own ratification). Wear red! Public meeting laws prevent us from being able to add the ratification to tomorrow’s agenda due to the last-minute nature of the announcement.
